Religion

Wicklow Montessori Primary & Pre-School is a multi-denominational school where no formal religion classes are given other than the preparation for the Roman Catholic sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation are held as part of Sunday mass in the local parish church.The teacher works with the parish to help organise these sacraments and the children participate in aspects of the mass by doing readings, presenting gifts, etc. This is followed by a small party for the children and their families in the school before going on to enjoy their own family celebrations.

Parents who wish for their children to take these sacraments are requested to provide a baptismal certificate for their child's file when enrolling at the school.
